Buddy Program with Psychiatric Patients
HKJSSP collaborates with different NGOs (eg. Mental Health Association of Hong Kong) to organise visits to psychiatric rehabilitation/centre and lead different interest groups. Through these visits, we aim to encourage love and care towards people who are recovering from mental illnesses and help them integrate into society. We have successfully organised game activities (e.g. BINGO, party) , sports activities (e.g. football match), art workshops (e.g. Pastel Nagomi Art), both on-site and online.
Animal-Assisted Intervention Workshop
HKJSSP collaborated with the Hong Kong Institute of Animal Assisted Intervention (HKIAAI), to create workshops that aim to provide participants with an introductory understanding of animal-assisted interventions, including theoretical foundations and therapeutic approaches. In addition to showcasing the current state of development of animal-assisted therapy, speakers from HKIAAI will also share their experiences of practising animal-assisted therapy locally.
